EduFootyAid - North East Soccer & Social

One of my proudest achievements in my 20 years in education is to have been involved in the creation of EduFootyAid and to have promoted the Striker Boy campaign alongside my friends from 2Simple. Between EduFootyAid and Striker Boy almost £14,000 has now been raised for Mind. A truly staggering amount. In this week of Mental Health Awareness Day and to celebrate the one year anniversary of the original EduFootyAid match the next instalment ‘EduFootyAid - North East Soccer and Social’ will take place tomorrow in Newcastle. Last year Sam Keys and I lifted the inaugural trophy together for the ‘North East Elite’ as we defeated Lee Parkinson’s (@ICT_MrP) UK All Stars team. Tomorrow Sam and I go head to head as my ‘Team Lanchester’ take on his ‘North East Select’ team. The event is all about promoting Wellbeing within education and raising funds and awareness for Mind. Following the match at Goals (Gosforth, Newcastle) we will all be heading for a meal together and then to see Two MrP’s in a Pod (Cast) Live show in Newcastle.
