I am delighted to announce 'The Ultimate Coding Course,' taking place at The Hilton Hotel on Gateshead Quayside on Wednesday, 13th November 2024.
Joining me at this event will be the internationally acclaimed Carol Allen, Steve Bunce, and Julian Wood. They will provide all delegates with high-quality CPD and exciting new ideas for teaching and integrating coding within your school curriculum.
Steve, Julian, and I will share a range of inspirational activities and resources for teaching coding and computational thinking. Our keynotes will be packed with quick wins and free resources that can be immediately implemented into any educational setting.
Carol Allen, one of the leading SEND specialists, will deliver an insightful keynote on how we can best support children with additional needs in coding activities. She will explore how coding and computational thinking offer great cross-curricular opportunities for pupils with additional needs.
This full-day course runs from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm and includes a buffet lunch.

As part of the day delegates will take part in a practical workshop as to how to use their new Loti-Bot robot across the curriculum and will have an introduction to text-based programming using Python in Pieces.
This course will naturally appeal to Computing Subject Leaders, but it is also ideal for anyone teaching Computing from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 6. It would be particularly useful for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or anyone who lacks confidence in teaching coding and computational thinking.
