Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your skills to the next level, Discover, Create and Innovate with Micro:Bits will guide you through everything you need to know about this versatile and engaging device.

Aimed at all KS2 teachers and teaching assistants, the course is also particularly valuable for Computing, D&T, Science, and Maths Leads looking to enhance their subject offer through engaging, real-world applications of technology.

During the session, you’ll explore how Micro:Bits can bring computing to life—transforming code into something children can see, touch, and interact with. From simple animations and games to data collection and wearable tech, you’ll leave brimming with project ideas that align perfectly with the Primary Computing National Curriculum.

This interactive course will:

  • Introduce the key features and capabilities of the BBC Micro:Bit

  • Build your confidence using MakeCode (the Micro:Bit coding platform) and other free tools

  • Highlight cross-curricular links with subjects such as science, maths, and design & technology

  • Offer a wealth of practical, classroom-ready ideas for Key Stage 2

  • Help you inspire your pupils to think creatively, code confidently, and solve real-world problems

Whether you’re a beginner or just need a refresher, you’ll leave with ready-to-use resources, fresh ideas for your next lesson, and the confidence to embed Micro:Bits into your teaching in meaningful and exciting ways.

Course details:
All sessions run from 1:00pm to 3:15pm and are priced at £49 per delegate, or just £75 for two delegates.
