Logo - Egyptians

Huge fan of using Logo in education. Quite a retro resource now, but actually a great programming language for pupils to learn. Helps them to develop those important skills of repetition and the use of procedures and also has huge obviously links to mathematical concepts of angles and position and direction. You can also link to others areas of the curriculum like I did today. I used ‘2Logo’ on Purple Mash and set my Y5 pupils at Lanchester EP the challenge of navigating their way to Tutankhamen and then back out of the maze again. If you don’t have access to Purple Mash, there are plenty of free versions of Logo which you can check-out on a variety of other platforms too.
