CampEd 2015

I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit CampEd for a second time on Saturday 23rd May 2015. The 2014 event had been one of the highlights of my year and so was nice to go back and meet with both familiar and new people.

CampEd is organised by Dughall McCormick and Bill Lord and is held at Cliffe House near Huddersfield. The event is like an extended TeachMeet over the May Bank Holiday weekend, with partners and families also in attendance.

A very relaxed environment makes it a wonderful place to unwind, whilst still experiencing a whole range of activities and CPD opportunities.

Adults and children alike both enjoyed the animation session that I delivered this year and also being introduced to PlayOsmo on the iPad.

One of my particular highlights was a spot of whittling and sitting enjoying toasted marshmallows around the campfire.

The evening ended with great food, live music from Ceri Williams and Tim Rylands . . . . . and even maanged to see a bit of Eurovision!!!

Due to Newcastle United playing on the Sunday I had to just make it a day trip, but will be back again next year and will be looking to stay for more of the weekend.

An event that is now added straight to my calendar each year. I urge others to check it out also!
